What we do

Non profit organization. All volunteers dedicated to foment the well being of the needy children in Colombia.

Objectives

With your monthly sponsorship ($20.00), Minicol will cover the child's registration, pension, books, uniforms, shoes, school supplies, as well as medical services, (doctors, medicines, vitamins) and odontological services.

While these needs are addressed, we provide a follow up on their education, to make sure the child is making progress. Sometimes, if necessary, special classes or tutoring is also available.

Education

The opportunity to attend recognized schools with high academic standards.

Recreation

Athletic programs are offered, with the guidance of trained and qualified personnel. Cultural programs are also offered. We have classes in music, theatre, painting, and other activities.

Meals

They are provided with a well balanced meal thru our school lunch program.

Special Programs

We offer workshops in computers, sewing, first aid, dance, to the children and their families, at no cost. We also offer classes to learn to write and read for the parents. Special conferences are offered on how to deal with the upbringing of their child.

Microloans

Minicol has partnered with The Colombia Project Global to create a microloans program. This way we are helping the families start a small business or expand an existing one. This program has been very successful.
